The crucial ninth round of the 2011 MCE British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park will become a triple-header following the cancellation of the Oulton Park race over the weekend.
Poor weather conditions forced organisers to postpone the second race on the grounds of safety, but it will instead now go ahead at Cadwell Park on the bank holiday weekend of 27-29 August.
Already a crucial round as it represents the climax of the season's 'first phase', it means there will now be three races to decide who goes through to the BSB Title Showdown.
The first race will take place on the Sunday, in the grid positions decided by the first Oulton Park race, while the other two races will be on Monday as originally planned. This means Tommy Hill heads up a front row of Michael Laverty, Josh Brookes and Gary Mason.
"It's always disappointing not to complete an event programme but I am pleased that we can announce that all the affected Championships will retain their prescribed number of races,” said BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs.
