Linfoot secures BSB return with Tyco

Dan Linfoot joins with Tyco Honda at Silverstone for his first BSB appearance since splitting with SMT Honda.
Dan Linfoot returns to the MCE British Superbike Championship fray at Silverstone after agreeing a deal to ride for Tyco Honda.

The youngster, who made his BSB debut with Motorpoint Yamaha in 2010, began the 2011 season with SMT Honda, before the two parted ways after six rounds.

After taking in some rounds of the Spanish CEV Moto2 Championship, Linfoot is back in BSB with Tyco Honda, which returns to a three-man team for the first time since Tommy Bridewell five rounds into the season.

Linfoot will pair with Peter Hickman, who is currently eighth in the BSB standings, as well as the team's EVO rider Patric Muff.

After this year farcical management fiasco's within the BSB paddock we are pleased to announce that next years main sponsor of the BSB series will be a company called "Musical Chairs".

They might as well have two riders up at the front and gain as much exposure for the sponsor as they have a spare bike and with the one bike rule Hickman can't use that. They're probably looking at Linfoot for next year aswell, so the last two rounds will be an extended test. I really hope Dan goes well as he hasn't had a superbike to do his talent justice yet as both his best performances have been in the wet (Silvestone 2010 and Truxton 2011) which leveled the playing field and allowed him to run at the front. There aren't too many young riders who've won at European Supertook 600 level or have GP experience and he deserves to have a decent ride.
