Quigley and Palmer clocking up the miles in spain

'Alcarras seems to be a great track to test at and the good weather so far has been a big help' - Tristan Palmer
The GBmoto Racing team continues to count down to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship with a testing programme at Alcarras in Spain.

Luke Quigley and Tristan Palmer have been clocking up the miles on their Honda CBR1000RRs over the past two days in preparation for GBmoto's debut campaign in BSB, which gets underway at Brands Hatch next month, after switching from the Metzeler National Superstock class.

Palmer told the official British Superbike website, “I am very pleased with the bike so far and we are still making lots of changes in every session. We are taking big steps forward and the GBmoto Honda is working really well already.

"Alcarras seems to be a great track to test at and the good weather so far has been a big help. The team are working really well with all the new kit and I am quite happy."

Quigley admitted he was slightly apprehensive before the test began, but is now feeling much more at home on the Global Reach Partners Honda superbike.

“I started the test a little nervously and unsure of how I was going to get on riding a Superbike again, but from the first session I could sense things were going to go well. Yesterday, our electronics guy made some big improvements with our fuelling and every session I went out it felt better,” he said.

“Today we have made more progress with the electronics and have started to make a few chassis changes, which I think are working well.”

Palmer and Quigley are PDQ and if they get things sorted before brands could really suprise one or two of the established teams. Watch Palmer go at Oulton Park he seems to love that circuit. Good luck guys, bring it on !!
