Positive test for GBmotot duo Palmer and Quigley

'The entire team at Alcarras has put in a mammoth effort. Their work, determination and dedication has made the four day test a real success' - Mark Smith Halvorsen
GBmoto Racing's Tristan Palmer and Luke Quigley made the most of the fine weather conditions on the final day of their pre-season test at Alcarras on Wednesday to complete a satisfactory Spanish shakedown.

The pair continued their preparations for the opening round of the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship next month and posted their fastest times of the four-day test in the morning.

Palmer concentrated on front end feel, while Quigley focused on experimenting with rear shock settings on their Honda Fireblades and both riders underlined their progress by lapping under the superbike lap record at Alcarras as the test concluded.

Team Principal Mark Smith-Halvorsen told the official British Superbike website www.britishsuperbike.com: “Each bike now has a stable, responsive chassis set-up, and are great platforms for further incremental changes to ignition and fuelling maps. We feel that we are already well advanced in our progress in this area.

“Overall, the entire team at Alcarras has put in a mammoth effort. Their work, determination and dedication has made the four day test a real success for the team.

"We are now looking forward to our next tests at Brands Hatch and Snetterton, but squeezing in some dyno work prior to this as well.”
