Karl Harris will return to MCE British Superbike Championship competition this weekend after inking a deal to join Quattro Plant Kawasaki.
The 'Bomber' has been a popular figure in the British Superbike Championship over the years, notching up a total of 134 races, but hasn't had a full-time ride in the series since 2009.
Nonetheless, following his maiden appearance at this year's Isle of Man TT, where he finished 21st aboard a Honda, Harris will return to the BSB paddock at Brands Hatch for what will be his first ever outing aboard a Kawasaki.
"It's great to be back in BSB, especially on the Brands Hatch GP circuit and I just want to come back and have a good weekend for the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team,” he told the BSB website.
“It will be the first time for me on a Kawasaki after years of riding Hondas and Suzukis so it will be a bit of a test to start with as I haven't ridden the Quattro Plant Kawasaki yet.
“We have seen that the bike has potential and I am glad to be back; I have been watching it at home this season but you sit wishing you could get out there and now I can thanks to the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team."
Harris takes the place of Mark Aitchison in the team, who has defected to Splitlath Redmond Aprilia after just one event with Quattro Plant Kawasaki.
He last raced in BSB last season aboard the Splitlath Aprilia, where he managed a handful of points' paying finishes.
