Karl Harris ready to challenge for top ten at Cadwell Park

'We will be closer to where we need to be than we were at Brands Hatch and I can't wait to give it large over the Mountain again' - Karl Harris
Karl Harris is hopeful he can break into the top ten at Cadwell Park following an encouraging return to the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch last time out.

Harris completed a test recently at the Lincolnshire track with the Quattro Kawasaki team and is confident he can better his 12th place result at Brands at the August Bank Holiday meeting.

“I am feeling really up for Cadwell Park; it felt great to be back on the grid at Brands Hatch and I think we can start aiming higher at the next round,” said Harris, who made his debut at the Isle of Man TT in June.

“I hadn't ridden the bike before getting on it in free practice at Brands Hatch but we got on with the job and came quite close to the top ten which wasn't a bad effort for the first time out.

“My aim for that weekend was to get into the points and we did that, so I think we can set the goals a bit higher for Cadwell Park now.”

'Bomber' Harris also intends to challenge current Cadwell Mountain jump specialist Josh Brookes' status as the most spectacular rider to tackle the iconic section of the popular circuit.

“We had a run out at Cadwell Park a few weeks' ago and it was great to be back there on a Superbike.

“For sure we will be closer to where we need to be than we were at Brands Hatch and I can't wait to give it large over the Mountain again,” he told the official British Superbike website.

“I might even give Josh a run for his money on that one! We want to have a good end to the season and two good races at Cadwell Park would be a good way to start it off.”

Penelope, You & all the others, ought to show a multiple British Champion a little more respect. Its easy to criticize from your armchair. Have you ever ridden a high performance sports bike anywhere near the limit? Good Luck Karl! I hope you achieve your goal!
