Graeme Gowland pulls out of Cadwell round

'With a number of issues affecting his concentration [Graeme] has decided that from a personal and professional point of view, it would be best not to race' - Team WFR statement
WFR Honda's Graeme Gowland will sit out this weekend's eighth round of the MCE British Superbike Championship.

A statement released by the team today confirmed that Gowland had decided not to compete in the Bank Holiday meeting at Cadwell Park 'due to issues affecting his concentration'.

Gowland is pondering his future and will discuss his options with WFR team manager Myles Schofield in the coming days.

The statement read: “After an unexpectedly difficult season so far with Team WFR, Graeme Gowland has made the decision not to race in Round 8 of the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park this weekend.

“Following a brilliant year with the team in 2011, Graeme himself had hoped for much more, but with a number of issues affecting his concentration he has decided that from a personal and professional point of view, it would be best not to race at the Lincolnshire circuit.

“No further decision about Graeme's future in the team has been taken at this time and he is expected to sit down with team manager Myles Schofield in the coming days to talk about the options.

“The team has said it will do all it can to support Graeme and any decision he makes.”

I don't know what's underlying this, other than his results being less then everyone hoped. But I do feel hell of a sorry for Gowler that its come to this.
