A crestfallen Noriyuki Haga has spoken of his dismay after he missed out on a place in the MCE British Superbike Championship Showdown at Donington Park.

The Japanese star rode through the pain barrier after breaking his collarbone in a fall at Cadwell Park, but it was a step too far even for 'Nitro Nori', who struggled to 21st and 12th places on the Swan Yamaha YZF-R1.

He may be down in the dumps after his chances of making the final top six title fighters evaporated yesterday, but Haga hopes to be back to something like his old self at Assen as he aims to return to the rostrum at the iconic Dutch circuit.
