Tommy Bridewell is refusing to give up on his quest to secure a maiden rostrum finish for his Supersonic BMW team in the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch next weekend.

Title Fighter Bridewell is currently sixth in the Showdown standings ahead of the final triple-header round on October 12-14 and although the prestigious title is out of his reach, Bridewell remains ultra-determined to achieve his objectives at Brands.

He has racked up a string of top five finishes this season to earn his place in the Showdown but so far a podium has eluded him.

Bridewell, though, has one final bite at the cherry this season and has vowed to do "everything possible" to challenge for the top three as he targets third in the final championship reckoning.

"I think Brands Hatch will be a better track for us; Assen and Silverstone we just lacked a bit of power and I don't think that will be so much an issue there," Bridewell told the official British Superbike website.

"To be honest since the weekend I have been watching the last Brands Hatch round back and I didn't realise how strong we were and I think that has given me some extra confidence as I know we have moved forward since then.

"My personal goal is to do everything physically possible to get third in the championship; it isn't easy but to do that would be massive," he added.

"It is my last chance to get on the podium and the goal has to be to do it in all three races.

"I want to beat Alex [Lowes], Tommy [Hill] and Michael [Laverty] so Brands Hatch is going to be all or nothing."
