Liverpool's Steve Brogan will return to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship next season on a Kawasaki ZX-10R.
Brogan will run his own team in 2013 as the former title winner bids to provide Kawasaki with their second successive championship success in the series after Ulsterman Keith Farmer won the title for Paul Bird's Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team this year.
'Brogie' will receive support from Kawasaki UK and loyal personal backer Direct CCTV as he sets his sights on winning the Superstock crown for the third time in his career.
“This year was a tough one for me but as a former champion I know that with the right ingredients I can repeat my previous success,” he said.
“The formula is simple; I want to go into 2013 knowing I have the right machinery beneath me and the right support to make a serious attack on the title.
“With that in mind, I would like to thank Chris Percy of Direct CCTV who continues to be the driving force behind my team,” added Brogan, who has won the title on Honda and BMW machinery in the past.
“Now all the parts of the jig-saw are in place to retain the Superstock title for Kawasaki.”
Kawasaki's UK Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge, feels Brogan and the ZX-10R will be the 'perfect combination' next year.
“The Superstock 1000 class is a highly competitive one, and you really need the right bike and right rider to do the business,” he said.
“Steve sat on the grid on his Ninja ZX-10R is the perfect combination and I can't wait to see what he can do on track next year.”
Brogan rode for the Buildbase BMW team this year, finishing seventh overall in the championship.
