British Superbike top gun Ryuichi Kiyonari is looking ahead to the official test at Donington Park after a successful shakedown on the Samsung Honda at Cadwell.

Kiyonari is back in BSB this season as he aims to clinch a record fourth title.

The popular Japanese rider participated in a two-day test with team-mate Alex Lowes plus Supersport rider Jason O'Halloran.

"It has been two good days and today [Tuesday] was very busy as we have tried many different changes so I need to thank Adrian (Gorst) and my team," he said.

"We have a better idea now of where to start for the next test at Donington Park and I felt more comfortable back on the Superbike.

"Alex is also a really good team-mate and I think we can push each other during the season."

Lowes, who finished as the leading Honda rider in 2012 on the WFR machine, said the test 'couldn't have gone any better'.

"I am really chuffed with the two days we have had at Cadwell Park and I have left feeling really happy," he told the British Superbike website.

"The Samsung Honda has so much potential and we did some really good work on engine braking today which was a really good step forward.

"After our debrief last night I gave my crew chief Ian (Prestwood) my feedback and this morning he had improved everything we spoke about and I definitely had a big smile on my face!

"What I was happiest with was that I was able to keep improving and I don't think this test could have gone any better so I am ready for Donington now."
