Upbeat Ellison makes gains at Cadwell Park test

'We have been able to do lots of laps and it has been a good opportunity to try different chassis settings' - James Ellison
Milwaukee Yamaha rider James Ellison is eagerly anticipating the next round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park during the May Bank Holiday weekend following a positive test at Cadwell Park.

Ellison, a winner at the opening round of the series at Brands Hatch, experimented with a number of different chassis settings during the shakedown on his YZF-R1.

He was joined at the test by fellow BSB rider Josh Waters plus Shaun Muir's roads pairing of William Dunlop and Conor Cummins, who were testing the Milwaukee Superbike for the first time as they prepare for the first international road race of the season at the North West 200 on May 18.

Ellison said: “It has been a really productive test today. We have been able to do lots of laps and it has been a good opportunity to try different chassis settings just to see what difference it made to the overall handling for reference.

“It was a great opportunity for me to try different racing lines without the pressure of having to get a lap time in and I'd like to thank 'Sir' Roger Marshal for watching trackside around the whole circuit and really helping me get my lap times down to within half a second of the race winner's time last year,” he said.

“I am looking forward to Oulton Park now and being able to put all our hard work from this test into practice.

“I really need to claw the points back I lost from the first race at Brands Hatch.”

What miserable sod could find anything to quarrel with in what Juaxx said. You sad sad somethings that sounds like a German aeroplane maker . The more riders do well the better the series. Ellison's done nowt wrong. Waters is getting stuck in despite injury. Yeah good luck to'em both.
