Fresh from claiming his first podiums of the 2013 MCE British Superbike season at Knockhill, triple champion Ryuichi Kiyonari continued the momentum with a first front row start at Snetterton on Saturday.

The Samsung Honda rider qualified in fourth place, albeit with a lap time almost one-second behind team-mate and pole sitter Alex Lowes.

"It is much better again this weekend, especially to be on the front row," said the Japanese. "I am very happy with this because it is the first one of the season.

"We need to keep trying still tomorrow because the others are very fast but we will be trying hard, because we want to be on the podium. We need to be consistent and try to have a good start."

Kiyonari is seventh in the standings after four rounds.
