Doodson Honda has confirmed it will skip the sixth round of the 2013 MCE British Superbike Championship after its star rider Robbin Harms suffered a wrist injury last time out at Snetterton.

A former World Supersport front runner, Harms has been lifting the Doodson squad to some of its best-ever results in BSB this season, the Dane peaking with a fine seventh place finish around the Norfolk circuit earlier in the month.

However, that performance was tempered later in the day when he got tangled up in Jon Kirkham's crash ahead of him, Harms left nursing a broken wrist and a fractured hand that required surgery.

Worse still, Harms's recovery time could see him forced to miss upcoming rounds too as he is required to have his arm in a full cast for at least three-four weeks.

"It's good to be back home safe after good treatment in the hospital. I've talked with some doctors here and the plan is to put the arm in a full cast within the next week and keep it in for three to four weeks. Then it's all about how fast I can come back on the bike depending on the strength of the arm. The injury comes at the worst time possible. Returning to the tracks I'm familiar and with the bike working well."
