Milwaukee Yamaha's James Ellison experienced mixed fortunes at the Bank Holiday MCE British Superbike meeting at Cadwell Park.

Ellison crashed out while battling for a potential rostrum finish in the first race before inheriting third place in race two following when Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes slid out of the lead.

The Yamaha rider still requires seven points to guarantee his place in the Showdown stage of the championship.
