Tyco Suzuki's PJ Jacobsen hopes to build on his excellent front row start in the MCE British Superbike round at Silverstone.

Jacobsen, who finished on the rostrum at Assen in the previous round, finished third fastest behind Alex Lowes and Shane Byrne.

The 20-year-old rookie from New York is enjoying a strong finish to the season and is determined to run at the front again tomorrow.

"Yeah that was good today. We've been really consistent so far this weekend and it's a good way to follow up the Assen podium. It will be nice to start with a clear track ahead of me," he said.

"I need to make the most of the position and see how it goes from there, but thanks to the team for giving me a great bike out there today."

Jacobsen qualified one place ahead of team-mate and Showdown challenger Josh Brookes.
