Milwaukee Yamaha's James Ellison retains a mathematical chance of winning the MCE British Superbike title at the final Showdown round this weekend and has pledged to keep fighting until the final race.

Ellison is 42 points down on Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki pacesetter Shane 'Shakey' Byrne but there are 75 points up for grabs at the Brands Hatch triple-header and the Yamaha rider won't be throwing in the towel just yet.

"At Brands Hatch there is only one thing we can do and that is to go out and win all three races. The lead might have stretched in the points but I haven't given up on the title yet because as we saw at Assen in this championship anything can happen and it usually does during the Showdown.
