Last chance! Vote for your 2013 BSB Rider of the Year

12 December 2013

Last chance! Voting ends on Friday

With a full grid of bikes, a quality blend of riders and the added twist of the now familiar 'Title Showdown', British Superbikes 2013 duly delivered one of the closest climaxes in its history as Alex Lowes and Shane Byrne went bar-to-bar in a dramatic finale.

Of course the title win would go the way of the young pretender, with Samsung Honda rider Lowes turning around a pre-Showdown deficit to come out fighting when it mattered before prevailing in a tense head-to-head at Brands Hatch.

Not that Byrne would be disgraced in second position, the three-time champion engaging his exciting new rival in some fierce and compelling action over the final trio of events, even if he would ultimately be forced to settle for the runners-up spot.

Nonetheless, BSB 2013 was never just about two men, with the ever-popular Josh Brookes and series returnee James Ellison both reaching the top of the podium during the course of the season, while James Westmoreland Ryuichi Kiyonari had their flashes of speed to join them in the 'Title Showdown'.

Furthermore, there were plenty of notable standouts further down the order, including Tommy Bridewell – who would campaign Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha machinery in 2013 -, top rookie PJ Jacobsen, the evergreen Chris Walker and BSB Riders' Cup champion Jon Kirkham.

Which is why we aren't just asking you to pick your top rider for 2013, we want you to rate a selection of them out of ten. Once tallied, we will then count down the top ten BSB riders of 2013 based on your scores…
