Martin Jessopp has confirmed his place on this year's MCE British Superbike Championship grid as he prepares to embark on his second season aboard BMW machinery.
The 28-year-old, who made his BSB debut in 2008, returned to the series in 2013 aboard a RidersMotorcycles BMW S1000RR following a year competing in the World Supersport Championship.
Though his success on the machine was limited to a handful of points' finishes, with a best result of 11th coming at Oulton Park, Jessopp is confident the lessons learned from 2013 will allow him to be more competitive in 2014.
"We can't wait to get testing underway for the new season and build on what we learnt in 2013,” he said. “We already have some improvements lined up so that we can move forward in our second season with the BMW.
“We used last season for development after years of running other manufacturers in the championship and with some changes to help improve the feel of the bike for this year with new parts, we hope that we can get up the field again and run where we know that both myself and the team can be."
Jessopp, who has a best finish of fourth place at BSB level, recently finished sixth in the 2013 Macau Grand Prix.
