FFX Yamaha's Ian Hutchinson is hopeful he can climb up the results sheets at the second round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch on Bank Holiday Monday.

Hutchinson is a huge fan of the Cheshire track, where he has tasted success in the Supersport and National Superstock classes in the past.

The Yorkshire rider made a tentative debut at Brands Hatch last month but is keen to press on at Oulton and end the weekend with two solid results.

"Oulton Park is one of my favourite circuits and hopefully this should be a better weekend for us. The first weekend was always going to be tough as it was my first race back but I have won races in Supersport and Superstock at Oulton Park so hopefully my experience of the track will benefit us as we continue progressing," he said.

"I know that I have ridden well there before so we need to get fired in the right direction with the settings and then just keep moving forward over the weekend.

"I am looking forward to getting out again and trying to finish the races with two good results."

Hutchinson finished 23rd in race one at Brands before he was forced out of race two with a technical issue.

Following round two of the series at Oulton, Hutchinson will commence his international road racing duties with Milwaukee Yamaha at the North West 200 before travelling to the Isle of Man for the TT races.
