Honda back on track with O’Halloran test

Honda maintains its development build up to a 2015 return by testing at Knockhill with Jason O'Halloran.
Honda Racing continues to ramp up development for its proposed return to the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2015 by staying behind at Knockhill for a test.

The manufacturer, title winners with Alex Lowes in 2013, have withdrawn from the BSB this season after failing to attract a high profile rider, but will stay involved with a testing programme and occasional one-off appearances.

Indeed, with French endurance racer Julien Da Costa impressing on his return to competition at Snetterton last month, Honda is continuing its preparations with its Superstock title contending rider O'Halloran completing a test at Knockhill.

"It was a really positive day and I really enjoyed it,” the Australian said. “We managed to complete 168 laps of Knockhill and I feel I have been able to give some good feedback to the team from another perspective to add to Julien's work from the pre-season test and also from Snetterton. I started the day with the Fireblade set-up how the team finished up at Snetterton and made some changes to make myself feel more comfortable.

"We have been doing back-to-back comparisons with two bikes to test the new swingarm and different shock settings which was really positive, then we ended the day with a long run which now gives the team more information to work with.

“I felt happy and comfortable to be back riding a Superbike again and I want to thank the team for the opportunity today to help them progress with their project.”
