Jakub Smrz will not compete in the next two rounds of the 2014 MCE British Superbike Championship at Donington Park and Assen after sustaining a broken wrist in a crash at Cadwell Park.

The Czech rider, competing in his second full season of BSB racing aboard the Millsport Ducati 1199 Panigale, fell during second free practice at Cadwell Park, injuring his wrist and undergoing surgery to have it fixed.

Having been forced to miss the Cadwell Park races, Smrz will also be absent from Donington Park and the following Assen round, two circuits where he has scored podiums during his days in the World Superbike Championship.
