Buildbase BMW's Ryuichi Kiyonari admitted his disappointment as he missed out on a front row start for the MCE British Superbike Showdown opener at Assen by 0.1 seconds.

Kiyonari was in terrific form in free practice and qualifying but was caught out in the wet in the closing stages of Q3 and ended the session in fourth place.

"I am disappointed with fourth place, I wanted to be on the front. I made a mistake at the end of Q3 and came off so I lost the opportunity to try and improve," Kiyonari said.
