Danish rider Robbin Harms will return to the MCE British Superbike Championship for the final two Showdown rounds with the Motodex Performance First Racing team.

Harms, a former frontrunner in the World Supersport Championship, will ride a BMW S1000RR for the team, which intends to return to BSB full-time in 2015.

"I'm really happy to have been given this opportunity to return to the British Superbike Championship, and I am excited about returning," Harms said.

"It's a championship which I have always followed and loved, and to be given the opportunity to return is fantastic. We know it won't be easy. We have a lot to learn in a short time this weekend, but I like Silverstone and I am confident I can do a solid job.

"There will be a lot to learn and with just two rounds left it doesn't give us a lot of time, but we can hopefully make a bit of an impression by taking some decent results."
