Wiltshire's Tommy Bridewell is relishing the prospect of competing for BMW Motorrad's official MCE British Superbike team in 2015 alongside new team-mate Michael Laverty.

Bridewell is finally able to discuss his plans for next season after the official announcement that Ulster team TAS Racing will be the German manufacturer's factory-backed BSB squad next year, with Tyco Security Products remaining as title sponsors.

And 26-year-old Bridewell, who finished in third place in the final BSB standings this season ahead of Milwaukee Yamaha team-mate Josh Brookes, is confident of challenging for regular race wins on the all-new BMW S1000-RR.

Bridewell has previous BMW experience having rode for the Supersonic BMW team in BSB in 2012 and is excited by the potential of his new deal with the Ulster-run squad next season.

"I'm really excited to be joining Tyco BMW for next season," said Bridewell.

"I've met the team and they are a great bunch of guys and having ridden the BMW before, and watched what Kiyo was able to do on it this season, I know we will have as competitive a package as anyone on the BSB grid in 2015.

"In 2012 I put a standard BMW into the top six, so with factory support and the help of everyone at Tyco BMW, the goal is to be challenging regularly at the front and winning more races," he added.

"I'm also looking forward to working with Michael [Laverty] as he has a lot of experience both in BSB and with the team. So I'm now counting down the days to the first test."
