MQ Motorsport Kawasaki join BSB grid for 2015

MQ Motorsport Kawasaki join a stacked-out 2015 BSB grid as they enter Spaniard Dani Rivas and South African David McFadden for the upcoming season
MQ Motorsport Kawasaki has announced its return to the British Superbike grid for the 2015 season, with Dani Rivas and David McFadden racing for the team.

The pair of riders will both make their debuts in BSB and McFadden has said he follows the championship closely and is delighted to be joining the grid.

"I am really excited and looking forward to being part of the team,” McFadden said. “As soon as I got the call I knew it was where I wanted to be, especially after a strong season in European Superstock. I have followed the series and understand that it's an extremely strong championship with top teams, riders and some awesome circuits."

The South African rider recently competed in the World and European Superstock championships and won the South African National 600 Superstock crown in 2011.

Joining McFadden is Spaniard Rivas who has good racing experience in his home country and competed in 2013 the Moto2 championship.

Last year the 26-year-old finished sixth in the Spanish Superbike series (CEV), achieving two podium finishes, and he said he is thrilled to be joining the British racing scene.

“My goal will be to move forward as much as possible and challenge for top positions with my new team,” Rivas said. “This year is all new for me and I am very excited about this project and a new championship."

The MQ Motorsport Kawasaki team will also support John Simpson in the British Supersport Championship and Josh Wainwright in the Superstock series.

Team owner Mark Quelch said: "It is great to be back in the British Paddock this season after competing in the European classes over the last few years. We look forward to working with our new line up and battling for results."

That's riders from 10 nationalities riding BSB this year, if Smrz returs with Moto Rapido then 11! With no more obvious talent to sign up from within the BSB junior classes these are 2 very good rider signings.
