Buildbase BMW pair Ryuichi Kiyonari and Lee Jackson underwent their penultimate test ahead of the new MCE British Superbike season and both riders say they are ready for Donington Park.

The pre-season test at Mallory Park was 2014 BSB runner-up Kiyonari's second session on the 2015 BMW bike after he missed the Spanish tests due to visa issues. With Kiyonari absent that meant rookie Jackson was the sole Buildbase BMW representative in Spain, but both riders feel they are up to speed ahead of the official BSB test day at Donington Park next week.

"I am very happy as we were able to do lots of laps and we made more improvements," three-time BSB champion Kiyonari told BritishSuperbike.com. "We did lots of longer runs which was important for me to get more laps on the new bike, but we have made some big improvements since the first test at Brands Hatch last week already.

"I have a good feeling with the bike so I feel ready for Donington Park and we also have the test next week to get some more laps and make more changes ready for the race. We have to keep improving but I feel confident and ready to get started now."

Kiyonari's new team-mate Jackson is preparing for his first full season in BSB after finishing third in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship last year. The Lincoln-born rider says it has been a massive help to gain information from the highly-experienced Kiyonari about the BMW S1000RR.

"It was great to have Kiyo in the garage as when I have been testing this season I have been on my own, so his feedback too has been really helpful for me," Jackson said.

"I have been getting more comfortable on the bike and we have a good base setting now. I just need to get as many laps in as possible and then I think we will be all set for the first round."
