BSB veteran Chris Walker is confident his Be Wiser Kawasaki team can shake off its problems ahead of the MCE British Superbike season opener at Donington Park.

The 43-year-old enjoyed thorough pre-season testing schedule in Spain alongside team-mate Danny Buchan but suffered difficulties at the official test day at Donington last week.

Due to the cold and wet conditions the Nottingham rider only ventured out in the afternoon session but struggled with his ZX-10R after technical issues forced him to miss out on valuable track time.

Despite his limited running, Walker remains upbeat for the 2015 curtain raiser and can take confidence from his team-mate's performance in testing. Buchan ended the Donington test second on the timesheets and quickest of the chasing pack on defending BSB champion Shane Byrne.

"We had a few issues at Donington so I was only able to compete a dozen laps throughout the day," Walker said. "I know Tommy and everyone within the team will ensure this problem is fixed before the first race this weekend.

"The Be Wiser Kawasaki team is working really well together and I am pleased to be a part of it and hope we can gain some strong results in the forthcoming season."

Walker has switched to the Be Wiser Kawasaki team for 2015, after last year making it into the Showdown with GBmoto Kawasaki.

The BSB veteran is hoping for a more successful weekend at Donington Park compared to last year. The Leicestershire track acted at the ninth round of the BSB championship in 2014, finishing 11th in race one and 10th in race two.
