Josh Brookes has secured his first pole position of 2015 for race one at Oulton Park by pinching P1 from Tommy Bridewell by just 0.014s.

The Milwaukee Yamaha rider converted his strong form at last week's mid-season MCE British Superbike test into pole and will be joined on the front row by Tyco BMW's Bridewell and PBM Kawasaki's Stuart Easton.

Buildbase BMW's Ryuichi Kiyonari and defending BSB champion Shane Byrne will head the second row for race one after being bumped down in the final moments of the pole shootout by Easton. The pair will be joined by JG Speedfit Kawasaki's James Ellison who could only manage sixth on the grid after dominating last time out at Brands Hatch with pole and a double victory weekend.

Honda Racing's Jason O'Halloran with start at the front of row three with Michael Laverty, Danny Buchan and Billy McConnell rounding out the top ten.

It was PBM Kawasaki's Byrne who quickly took to the top of the qualifying times in Q1 by going fastest with a 1m 35.333s and went even quicker in Q2 with a 1m 35.056s.

Indeed, Byrne will now need to fight his way through from the middle of the second row if he is to retain his BSB championship leader status by the end of tomorrow's races.
