James Ellison is delighted the long wait is finally over as the 2015 MCE British Superbike season recommences this weekend at Snetterton and believes there will be a three-way battle for victories between himself, Josh Brookes and Shane Byrne.

The JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider leads the BSB championship by eight points after grabbing top spot from Byrne at Oulton Park. Ellison says he's confident he can battle for race wins this weekend and is predicting a three-rider fight at the front from the men who occupy the top three spots in the standings.

"I can't wait to be back out on the Kawasaki, it feels like a long time since Oulton Park and the Snetterton test so I'm counting down the time until first practice," Ellison said. "We had a really strong test at Snetterton, and although Josh was incredibly quick, our race pace is right there and I'm confident we can be battling with him and Shakey for the top step of the podium come Sunday."

In 2014 Snetterton hosted Ellison's most successful BSB race weekend during the regular season, when he claimed a third and a second behind Byrne's double victory. The 34-year-old says the Norfolk circuit is one he really enjoys and is looking to better last year's results this time round.

"I really like Snetterton as a track too, I remember when they changed it I was a bit gutted but as soon as I rode the new layout for the first time I loved it," he explained. "We had a good round here last year with a double podium and the bikes moved on loads since then, so fingers crossed for some good weather and a repeat performance, just higher up the box this time."
