Broc Parkes heads to Knockhill for the first time this weekend and the Milwaukee Yamaha rider hopes for some better results in order to help his MCE British Superbike campaign.

Since leaving MotoGP, the Australian has had a disappointing British Superbike Championship season so far, and needs some solid top-ten finishes to move him out of 16th in the riders' standings.

At Snetterton, Parkes found himself finishing both races 11th, but had hoped for stronger finishes following a positive start to the weekend.

"I was disappointed with Snetterton because we showed we had the pace and it just didn't translate into race results," Parkes said. "I am approaching this weekend the same way as I did the last, which is to get in as many laps as possible to learn the track and then do the best job I can."

The BSB championship goes to Scotland this weekend and despite not knowing the Knockhill track the Yamaha rider feels he has a good chance of securing some good finishes.

"I really want to have a good weekend at Knockhill - I haven't been there before but I have heard a lot about it and I feel ready for the races," he added. "The next three rounds are obviously really important for me if we want to be in the top six for the Showdown so I need to get on with it and really push on this weekend."
