Barry Burrell is set to replace Michael Rutter at the Gearlink Kawasaki squad this weekend at Thruxton in the MCE British Superbike championship.
The regular BSB challenger has competed at Le Mans in the World Endurance Championship this season and is relishing the prospect for returning to the national championship.
Burrell has recently enjoyed spells with Buildbase BMW in 2011-2012, Quattro Plant Kawasaki in 2013 and Team WD-40 Kawasaki in 2014 and will take over from Rutter for Gearlink Kawasaki at the Hampshire circuit.
"I had taken some time out but I have been missing racing at BSB so I can't wait to get back on a Superbike again this weekend,” Burrell said. “I've been on a bike this year in the World Endurance Series at Le Mans on a Superstock bike, but that's it so I am really looking forward to Thruxton this weekend."
