John Hopkins has flexed the Ducati Panigale R's muscles around the speedy Thruxton circuit to go quickest in the final free practice session as the majority of the BSB field focused on longer runs.
With conditions expected to be similar to that during the races on Sunday most of the field opted for high fuel stints and the standard last ten minute sprint session saw a raft of unfamiliar faces rise to the top.
As the chequered flag fell Quattro Plant Kawasaki's Luke Mossey claimed top spot with the fastest lap of anyone of the weekend, a 1m 15.323s, but he was bumped down to second by Hopkins who went over a tenth of a second faster.
The 2011 BSB runner-up, who is acting as stand in at the Lloyds British Moto Rapido squad for the injured Jakub Smrz, is likely to be one of the hot favourites for pole position in qualifying after the Czech rider claim P1 at the Hampshire circuit 12 months ago.
Bennetts Suzuki were given something to smile about after Christian Iddon ended the session third ahead of Richard Cooper in fourth and Danny Buchan in fifth.
Fastest rider from FP1 and FP2 Josh Brookes grabbed sixth after failing to better his outright lap time from Friday ahead of JG Speedfit Kawasaki team-mates James Westmoreland and James Ellison.
Martin Jessopp made a rare appearance into the top ten while Shane Byrne continued his under par placing in tenth.
Three-time BSB champion Ryuichi Kiyonari continued to struggle with his Buildbase BMW, ending the session in 17th, while there was more misery from BMW riders as Tyco BMW team-mates Michael Laverty and Tommy Bridewell finished FP3 20th and 22nd respectively.
