Dan Linfoot topped a quiet final free practice session at Oulton Park as the majority of the MCE British Superbike field opted not to risk riding on a damp circuit ahead of qualifying.
After heavy overnight rain completely soaked the track very few riders fancied heading out on to the slippery surface with the majority of the BSB field keeping a watchful eye on the times.
It took until the final 10 minutes for a number of Showdown contenders to venture out for qualifying runs, as Honda Racing's Dan Linfoot jumped to the top with a 1m 42.132s but over seven seconds off the pace from Friday.
BSB championship leader Josh Brookes crept up to second at the end of FP3 to push Howie Mainwaring Smart into third as Richard Cooper and Ryuichi Kiyonari rounded out the top five.
Aaron Zanotti floated up to unknown territory in sixth with JG Speedfit Kawasaki's James Westmoreland seventh.
Jed Metcher, who is getting to grips with the Gearlink Kawasaki machine after switching from PR Racing, ended the session eighth ahead of Showdown contender Michael Laverty with Rhalf Lo Turco completing the top riders to set a time.
