Luke Mossey says he was left 'speechless' after grabbing his second BSB rostrum at Assen in his rookie year and simply wants to savour the highlight to an already impressive season.

The former British Supersport rider has stepped up to the top class in style with continual improvements throughout the 2015 championship, which came to a crescendo with his second podium of the year in race two in the Netherlands.

The Cambridge-born rider proved his mettle by fighting off the likes of four-time BSB champion Shane Byrne and Buildbase BMW's Richard Cooper for third place in mixed conditions.

"We had a difficult first race with bike issues after the crash but to bounce back with a podium like that I can't say much more," Mossey said. "The second one of the year and I'm just speechless. I am loving this moment."

Mossey, who turns 23 on Tuesday, is the leading BSB rookie and is in the mix for the BSB Riders Cup, trailing current leader Cooper by just eight points with five races remaining. He also heaped praise on his Quattro Plant Kawasaki squad with providing him with the tools to fight at the front and wants to maintain his momentum into the season finale.

"The team are working so well and I am getting along with the guys. The race was hairy but I am chuffed to bits with the podium. Now the last two rounds I hope we can maintain this momentum and see where we end up at the end of the year."
