Michael Laverty says he only has eyes on wins at Silverstone after guiding his Tyco BMW to the top of the Friday practice timesheet with a record-breaking lap.

The Tyco BMW rider smashed the existing lap record by over eight-tenths of a second with a blistering 2m 05.370s to nip ahead of Josh Brookes in the afternoon session. The former MotoGP man is delighted to be back at the top after suffering a series of near-misses and is beaming with the new swingarm.

Laverty, who grabbed his first BSB rostrum of the season at Assen also with the new swingarm, has confidently declared his target is the top step of the rostrum to bring an end to Brookes' dominance.
