JG Speedfit is set to remain as title sponsor to GBmoto Racing Kawasaki for a second consecutive year after enjoying a successful maiden season.

Running under the JG Speedfit Kawasaki banner the team claimed its maiden BSB victory at the 2015 MCE British Superbike championship season opener at Donington Park and after a productive year taking three wins in total and seven additional rostrum finishes the team finished third in the championship with James Ellison.

The team is looking to push forward in 2016 and is targeting a maiden BSB championship having recently been named as the official Kawasaki factory-supported team in BSB and will receive the new ZX-10R to commence winter testing.

GBmoto Racing team principal Mark Smith-Halvorsen is thrilled to keep JG Speedfit on board for next season and hopes they can produce more of the results enjoyed over the start of the 2015 season.

"Becoming the factory supported Kawasaki team for 2016 means GBmoto will be taking a significant step forward again, and I'm really pleased that we'll be doing that with JG Speedfit," Smith-Halvorsen said. "We had an almost faultless start this year, taking three of four race wins, pole position and a new lap record. Unfortunately through no fault of his own, James Ellison was plagued by injury and we were not able to see just what the team could do.

"I know that for 2016 we'll not only challenge for the title, but continue the strong partnership with JG Speedfit. They share the same passion, dedication and drive that we have and the twelve BSB rounds provide a fantastic opportunity for them to entertain customers, suppliers and staff."

JG Speedfit's UK Director of Sales Mike Riseley added: "Our opening season with the GBmoto team has been incredibly positive and everyone at JG Speedfit is excited to be remaining as title sponsors for 2016. I'm confident that the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team will continue to go from strength to strength."

Ellison and his new team-mate, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, will join new World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea, Tom Sykes and the official WSBK Kawasaki team for a two-day test at Aragon next week, followed by another test at Jerez on the 23rd and 24th of November.
