Josh Hook will make his MCE British Superbike Championship debut at Knockhill in place of the injured Jack Kennedy at the WD-40 Kawasaki team, it has been confirmed.

The young Australian began his 2016 campaign with a stint in the World Superbike Championship riding a Grillini Kawasaki, but parted ways with the Italian team after six rounds.

With the WD-40 Kawasaki team seeking a substitute for Jack Kennedy after he broke his ankle in an off at Brands Hatch, Hook was invited to try the bike at the recent Snetterton BSB test, impressing enough to get a race run at Knockhill.
