Shane Byrne has claimed a clean sweep of top times during the free practice sessions at Thruxton but came under pressure from a resurgent Luke Mossey as the pair moved three-quarters clear of the chasing pack.

The Be Wiser Ducati rider appears in irresistible form at the Hampshire circuit having shot under the outright lap record during Friday practice and has maintained his pace in the final session with a 1m 14.455s.

Mossey, on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki, provided the multiple champion a close competitor – after Byrne cleared the field by almost a full second in FP2, as he ended the session within one-tenth of the BSB championship leader.

Further back Honda's Jason O'Halloran maintained his sharp-end presence, albeit 0.768s off Byrne, with Lee Jackson and Dan Linfoot rounding out the top five.

Jake Dixon continued his impressive pace in the opening stages of his BSB career by ending the session sixth, while Jakub Smrz surged up to seventh with a late flyer.

FS-3 Racing Kawasaki's Billy McConnell claimed eighth as Michael Laverty and Richard Cooper completing the top ten contenders ahead of JG Speedfit Kawasaki trio of Peter Hickman, Leon Haslam and James Ellison.
