Brands Hatch Grand Prix: Parkes to complete season with ePayMe Yamaha

Broc Parkes will combine his World Endurance commitments with racing for ePayMe Yamaha for the remainder of the 2016 BSB championship.
Broc Parkes will combine his World Endurance commitments with racing for ePayMe Yamaha for the remainder of the 2016 MCE British Superbike championship, taking up the ride recently vacated by Stuart Easton.

The Australian rider acted as stand-in at the team for the injured John Hopkins at Snetterton and after Easton's mutual split Parkes will act as the American's team-mate for the second half of the campaign.

Parkes, who is currently competing with his YART Yamaha World Endurance squad at the Suzuka 8 Hours, is relishing the opportunity of returning to BSB and is confident of making another instant impression at the Kent track having progressed straight into the first running of Superpole in Snetterton.

“I am really happy to be coming back to the championship with the ePayMe Yamaha team because I feel like we have some unfinished business after Snetterton,” Parkes said. “I think for me it couldn't be a better track to come back to, as I have had World Supersport race wins and also podiums in BSB on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

“I feel that I instantly gelled with the team at Snetterton and we had a really good pace throughout free practice and qualifying so I know what we can do, it was just really unfortunate I couldn't show it in the races as I got taken out on the first lap.

“I want to come back and prove I am capable of being up there fighting in BSB and I want to gain the respect so I can try and return next season alongside racing in the World Endurance series.”

Team owner Tommy Hill is thrilled to welcome the Australian rider back and is optimistic for an upturn in results after a tricky start to the year.

“We are excited to have Broc back in the team and I believe he really showed what he is capable of achieving with the ePayMe Yamaha at Snetterton,” Hill said. “He had a strong start to the weekend and we want to pick up where we left off – battling at the sharp end.

"We want to step it up for the second part of the season and fingers crossed we can deliver the results we know we are capable of at Brands Hatch.”

agree by one way, not agree at all by other... broc Parkes have potential, but remembering what he did at Milwaakee as Navelgazer says, not sure if he is able to go up there... anyway he knows well the bike and probably can stable how to manage posible evolution performance way... hope so, for Hill but more for Hopper...
