Danny Buchan has confirmed he will complete the 2016 MCE British Superbike championship with Tsingtao MSS Performance Kawasaki after a successful two-day test at Cadwell Park ahead of round eight.

The Essex rider recently split from Lloyds British Moto Rapido Ducati, who have since signed up Stuart Easton for the remainder of the 2016, and Buchan will complete the BSB season with former Halsall Racing machinery with some of the crew who assisted him to the 2014 Superstock 1000 crown.

"We have had two really good days at Cadwell Park and it has all gone really well," Buchan confirmed. "We had a few teething problems to start with, but we had literally turned this all around in just a few days. We worked through it and it has been really positive - I have lapped faster than I did in qualifying last year, so that shows the potential after our first test.

"It has been a really productive test, especially for me to familiarise myself with a four-cylinder bike again. Cadwell Park is one of my favourite tracks and I didn't want to miss it, so it is great to be back working with the guys who helped me win my Superstock title and ready to go for the next round."

Team owner Dave Tyson is delighted to be working with Buchan and is confident of a positive showing over the final five rounds of the 2016 season.

"We have all worked together to get this package and now the bike will be heading back to MSS Performance for some final preparations so we are ready for Cadwell Park," Tyson said. "We are looking forward to having a strong end to the season."
