Christian Iddon has topped the final free practice session in drying conditions at Oulton Park with the majority of the MCE British Superbike championship field limiting their running ahead of qualifying.

With the track slowly drying from overnight rain a handful of riders opted to test out the early track conditions which saw Team WD-40 Kawasaki's Josh Hook lead the early proceedings.

As the track continued to dry out most BSB riders enjoyed a late blast in damp conditions which saw Iddon jump to the top of the order – albeit over two seconds off the pace in the dry.

In the jumbled order Jakub Smrz put his Smiths Racing BMW up to second ahead of Buildbase BMW's Richard Cooper.

Glenn Irwin grabbed fourth on the Be Wiser Ducati in front of local rider James Ellison on the JG Speedfit Kawasaki with RAF Reserves BMW's Alastair Seeley in sixth.

Lee Jackson on the second Buildbase BMW rose to seventh ahead of title contenders Shane Byrne and Jason O'Halloran as Peter Hickman completed the top ten.
