Aaron Zanotti is set to take on a third consecutive MCE British Superbike championship with Platform Hire Yamaha in 2017.

After two years on the updated Yamaha YZF-R1, the Loughborough-based rider is preparing for a third straight campaign after confirming title sponsorship backing from Platform Hire.

Zanotti is keen to build upon last season, with his best result narrowly outside of the points in 16th at Donington Park, as he readies himself to attack the 2017 campaign.

“It's great to have Platform Hire behind us for another season,” Zanotti said. “It makes things so much easier, knowing we have the backing in place for the coming season, particularly when the sponsors are as enthusiastic as Platform Hire. We can get on with planning the season and updating the bike.

“Next year looks like it will have a grid full of quality riders – probably more so than ever before and I am really looking forward to it.”

Good to hear there are still privateers racing in BSB. Aaron Zanotti embodies the "man with a van" back to basics rider and should be supported by all true fans of racing. Hope he has a good season next year
