Knockhill demonstration to celebrate Jones.

British Superbike fans will get the chance to pay tribute to the late Craig Jones at Knockhill this weekend as organisers announced a special demonstration in his honour.

Craig last competed in the British Supersport Championship in 2005, but will perhaps be best known for his stunning win in the final round of the 2004 season aboard the Valmoto Triumph on what would be both the team and the bike's last outing.

As such, this weekend Craig will be poignantly honoured when the distinctive yellow machine is taken around the circuit by his Scottish team-mate of that year Jim Moodie.

Craig's closest friends within BSB will follow and the BSB community and fans are invited to applaud the life of one of Britain's most promising riders.

That legendary win at Donington Park will then be replayed on big screens during the pit walk and the interval period.

“Like all within the BSB community we are deeply saddened at the loss of Craig Jones following his accident last weekend,” said BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs.

“The British Championships formed a large part of Craig's career and I know he kept a keen interest on them as we did with his World Championship exploits.

“Craig will perhaps be best remembered by his two years on the distinctive yellow Valmoto Triumph and who can forget "that" race at Donington in 2004 when Craig enthralled us all by taking a spectacular win on the last day of the season on the last outing for the team and bike.”
