Leon Haslam has just one thing on his mind ahead of tomorrow's races for the eighth Bennetts British Superbike round at Knockhill after scoring his first pole position of the season.
Having been tipped as many people's favourite for the title with reigning champions HM Plant Honda, the for Airwaves Ducati rider has largely struggled to adapt to four-cylinder machinery.
As such, he headed into the eighth round of the season without a single pole position or race win under his belt. Nonetheless, following qualifying around the tricky Scottish circuit, Haslam can tick one of those off his to-do list after edging Michael Rutter to the top spot.
Matching his strong pace in free practice, Haslam is well placed to get the biggest monkey off his back tomorrow, a task he is very determined to achieve.
"The HM Plant Honda team have worked really hard, not just this weekend but all season so it is good to finally get a pole position,” he told the British Superbike website. “I have not had the best of times since the start of the year and I really need wins tomorrow.
“There are still five rounds to go and now it is all about winning races. I just can't wait to get going now tomorrow."
