Haslam `over the moon` with Cadwell double.

Leon Haslam was 'over the moon' after securing his first double win of a Bennetts British Superbike season that is rapidly beginning to turn around for him with just six races remaining.

Following on from his win at Knockhill, Haslam revealed exactly why he is regarded as a master of the undulating Cadwell Park circuit by battling back from a second row starting position to take victory in each race.

Doing it in front of a bumper Bank Holiday crowd, Haslam was thrilled to secure the fourth and fifth win for the HM Plant Honda team this season.

“I am over the moon,” he told Crash.net Radio. “I have got a lot of support here and all my friends come to this one, so it is good for them, and to get the first double win at Cadwell Park and the first double win of the season for HM Plant is a big, big credit to them.”

Catching and passing initial leader Tom Sykes on both occasions, the three wins in a row have transformed what was looking like a lacklustre maiden season with HM Plant Honda into one that could see him snatch second place in the final standings.

Indeed, while the runner-up spot in the standings does not constitute a successful season in Haslam's opinion, he is nonetheless pleased to finally be turning his season around.

“Second was the worst case scenario at the beginning of the year, but after the bad start to the season, I was adamant that we could turn around. Now that we have, fingers crossed we can get second place off Tom!”

Haslam has moved up to third in the British Superbike standings, just five points behind Tom Sykes and 13 points ahead of team-mate Cal Crutchlow.

Well done Leon... at least the battle for 2nd place looks like its going to be close. Be nice if Crutchlow could stop throwing it into the weeds as hes very fast when hes on the bike! good to see Camier on Shakeys pace as well...
