Camier conquers the Cadwell Mountain.

Leon Camier put his Cadwell Park demons to rest once and for all after scoring a pair of fourth place finishes in the latest Bennetts British Superbike round.

Camier admitted to feeling a little apprehensive as he scaled the Mountain for the first time since his horrific accident earlier on the weekend, but got over it straight away as he qualified fifth on the grid.

Although improving on his fourth place finish in the first race was hampered by a disappointing start, Camier showed impressive resolve in the second race to tough it out with Airwaves Ducati team-mate Shane Byrne and very nearly get the better of him.

Nonetheless, Camier was happy to settle for another fourth place, in the process producing the best final sector time of the weekend – a sector that includes the Mountain...

“To be back in amongst the front runners feels great and I am really happy. I was hoping to get onto the podium, especially in the second race, but the fact that I'm riding better and the Airwaves Ducati 1098R set-up has improved, is a result in itself.

“I managed to knock four tenths of a second off my time and actually posted the fastest time in the final sector which includes the mountain! So I'm feeling confident now heading to Croft.”
