James Ellison is eager to put his disappointing round at Croft behind him with a stronger performance in the penultimate Bennetts British Superbike round at Silverstone this weekend.
Ellison headed to Croft full of confidence following his fine performance as a World Superbike wild-card Donington Park, but struggled with the set-up on his Hydrex Bike Animal Honda.
Nonetheless, Ellison is high hopes for a good result at Silverstone, even possibly a first win of the season, as he believes it will suit his riding style better.
"I love Silverstone, it's awesome but it's four years ago since I was there,” he said. “I'm really looking forward to it; the track is a lot smoother than Croft so we should go a lot better."
Team-mate Guy Martin, meanwhile, is also on a high heading to Silverstone after winning at Scarborough last weekend, before following that up this week with the announcement he will race for Rob Mac Racing in 2009.
"We're on a roll so I'm full of confidence going into Silverstone and really looking forward to it. Now we have the win at Scarborough, the monkey's off the back a little bit and I can go out and enjoy it."
