Leon Camier was somewhat disappointed to qualify seventh for the latest round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship after going the wrong way on set-up.
The Airwaves Ducati rider started the weekend well when he topped first free practice, but his pace tailed off in qualifying as he found himself on the second row of the grid.
Blaming a mistake with the set-up, Camier admits he has a big decision to make if he is to re-establish his form in time for the races.
“We started off really well yesterday,” he told Crash.net
. “It was the best start to a weekend we have had, but we made some changes today with set-up, but now we have had qualifying, I am not sure which way to go. So we have a big decision to come.”
Nonetheless, Camier comes to Silverstone on a high after winning at Croft, meaning he is confident that he can transform a lacklustre qualifying into a good race performance.
“It is good to know that everything we have been working towards has paid off. We need more testing and more time on the bike but as the year has gone on we have made a big jump. If we can carry on as we are, we are looking quite good.
