Tom Sykes topped the timesheets in morning warm-up before racing gets underway for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone.
With sunny weather greeting the riders and the dedicated fans this morning, Sykes was a clear six tenths faster than closest rival Leon Haslam.
Karl Harris maintained his strong form around the circuit in third, just ahead of pole sitter for today's two races, Cal Crutchlow. Champion-elect Shane Byrne was fifth fastest, marginally ahead of Airwaves Ducati team-mate Leon Camier.
Top ten qualifiers, Michael Rutter, James Ellison and Michael Laverty maintained their places in the upper echelons of the order, while Atsushi Watanabe squeezed into tenth for the first time this weekend.
The 20 lap first race gets underway at 13.15, with the second race at 16.25.
